Job description

What The Role Is

You will report to the Deputy Director and oversee policy development and planning for National Digital Health Systems, such as policies on the role and outcomes of strategic systems within public healthcare, strategic roadmaps, and system and funding governance frameworks. Responsibilities include leading efforts to establish policy principles for national systems such as the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR) system. We are seeking motivated and independent individuals who have the passion to learn, grow and contribute at the intersection of Infocomm Technology (IT) and healthcare.

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What You Will Be Working On

You will lead and be part of a team to:

  1. Drive efforts to establish policy and programme principles and frameworks, including developing appropriate support measures.
  2. Coordinate across stakeholders to translate policy objectives into smooth development and operationalisation of relevant systems/ platforms.
  3. Work with IT delivery teams to implement digital strategies and systems, and monitor and report implementation progress as necessary.
  4. Identify challenges and manage priorities and changes that may impact system delivery progress and its intended benefits.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication strategies and plans.

What We Are Looking For

Work Experience, Competencies and Personal Traits

  1. Tertiary education preferably in Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics or Healthcare related fields.
  2. A high level of computer literacy.
  3. Prior experience in policy development and implementation and/ or roll-out of major IT projects.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge in project management and stakeholder engagement, with preferably more than 5 years' relevant experience in consulting, project management, or IT/technology planning.
  5. Demonstrated ability of effective communication (both verbal and written) skills to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  6. Able to supervise and lead project teams.
  7. Candidates with relevant experiences in the healthcare or public sector are preferred.
