Job summary

Health Sciences Authority invites applications for a Senior/Assistant Director, Processing & Analysis to lead a team of analysts in planning and overseeing intelligence and surveillance into breaches of HSA legislations and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will oversee intelligence deliverables, allocate workload, and coordinate closely with senior colleagues to ensure timely follow-up actions and continuous capability development within the Enforcement Cluster.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production of intelligence deliverables by the team, ensuring outputs are of high quality.
• Allocate and triage caseload across the team, balancing operational demands and capacity.
• Coordinate with Senior Assistant Director / Assistant Director, Field Intelligence for timely follow-up on leads.
• Prioritise incoming requests from other Departments within the Enforcement Cluster.
• Provide mentorship and identify training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
• Review and update internal SOPs to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
• Communicate and drive SOP/workflow implementation with external agencies and partners.
• Build intelligence infrastructure including development of systems to support work.

[What the role is]

As a Senior/Assistant Director, Processing & Analysis in the Health Sciences Authority, you will be leading a team of analysts to plan and oversee the conduct of intelligence and surveillance into breaches and potential breaches of HSA legislations and regulatory standards.

[What you will be working on]

• Oversee the production of intelligence deliverables of the team, ensuring analytical outputs are of a high standard.
• Ensure effective allocation and triaging of caseload across the team, balancing operational demands and individual capacity.
• Coordinate closely with the Senior Assistant Director / Assistant Director, Field Intelligence to ensure that intelligence leads gathered by the team receive timely and appropriate follow-up action.
• Judiciously manage and prioritise incoming requests from other Departments within the Enforcement Cluster.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to officers, and proactively identify relevant training and development opportunities to enhance the team's capabilities.
• Consolidate and continually review internal SOPs to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
• Communicate and drive the effective implementation of SOPs and workflows with external agencies and partners, where applicable.
• Build intelligence infrastructure including the development of the appropriate systems to support intelligence work.

The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
