SENIOR/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
Job Description:
You will bring breadth and depth to the learning function and provide stewardship to the team in the areas of learning strategy, curriculum development, learning design and innovation, as well as analytics. Specifically, you will:
- Lead in the development, implementation, and review of L&D strategies and policies aligned with the organization's objectives and priorities, considering industry best practices and emerging learning theories and technologies.
- Drive organization-wide learning needs analysis to forecast capability gaps, support employee development, and build future skills and capabilities in line with sector and organizational changes, as well as workforce transformation efforts.
- Lead the design, development, and review of competency-based developmental roadmaps and in-house signature learning programs/interventions, delivering comprehensive solutions for all employee levels to build necessary capabilities and versatility.
- Manage and curate the organization’s learning agenda, programs, and platforms by continually assessing relevance, scope, demand, and impact.
- Engage in crucial conversations with business leaders and stakeholders to diagnose current and future people development needs, drive innovation, and optimize learning strategies.
- Establish collaborative networks and strategic partnerships with thought leaders, learning partners, and business functions to advance the organization’s learning agenda.
- Conceptualize and establish a new Learning Academy to enhance organizational capabilities as an authority on community care matters, supporting the organization’s mission and vision.
- Manage budget, contracts, and procurement, while developing metrics and analytics capabilities to track trends and insights.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field with at least 15 years of relevant experience in learning & development and change management, including a minimum of 8 years in managerial roles.
- Prior experience in public service and/or public healthcare is preferred.
- Certifications in learning design, ACTA, IHRP, coaching, project/change management are advantageous.
- Proven track record of translating ideas into meaningful capability-building and organizational outcomes.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal, for leading, training, coaching, and influencing across all organizational levels and functions.
