Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Centre for IT Services (CITS) is searching for a highly experienced and strategic individual to join our dynamic team. This role is critical for building a robust and resilient IT landscape at NTU. Your responsibilities will include:
Architecting the Future: Establishing an Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework and IT Architecture blueprint.
Driving IT Governance: Enforcing IT governance principles for compliance, risk mitigation, and investment optimization.
Enhancing Service Excellence: Leading IT Service Management (ITSM) initiatives and obtain the ISO 20000 certification.
Ensuring Business Continuity: Developing and maintaining IT Business Continuity Plan (BCP) procedures aligned with NTU's overall BCP and ISO 20000/27001 standards.
Cultivating Talent: Contributing to the IT Capabilities plan and departmental training roadmap.
We are seeking a proactive leader with a deep understanding of IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and governance best practices. You should possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders and driving complex projects to successful completion.
Responsibilities
IT Strategic Planning
Support CIO to establish the multi-year IT Strategic Plan and the annual IT workplan including:
Plan and facilitate IT strategic planning workshops and offsite meetings
Conduct research on the technology trend and adoption in the education sector
Create IT Strategic Plan and the annual IT Workplan
Enterprise Architecture (EA)
Establish the EA framework to align business strategy, processes, information and technology
Develop and maintain enterprise-wide IT Architecture, as a common blueprint for the University in achieving cost efficiency, and alignment with the University’s strategic goals
Co-chair / Key Member for the Architecture Review Forum / Solution Review Committee and ensure that IT Systems and Solutions are aligning with overall IT Architecture
IT BCP Planning & Management
Conduct IT Business Impact Analysis and IT Risk Assessment, identifying all critical IT systems, applications, infrastructure components and data that are essential for business operations
Develop & maintain IT BCP procedures / DR Plans and work with ERM office to ensure alignment with NTU’s overall BCP plan, as well ISO20000 and ISO27001 frameworks
Plan and conduct/support annual BCP related exercise, reporting and audit
Function as a key participant in major incident response, activating the relevant DR plans and coordinating IT recovery effort as well as liaising with other business units
Develop and deliver IT BCP training, educating IT staff on their roles and responsibilities
IT Service Management (ISO20000 certification)
Lead the ISO20000 certification to ensure the IT Service Management System (SMS) consistently delivers quality IT services meeting business and customer needs, through continuous improvement and adherence to best practices
Act as the Primary Management Representative for ISO20000 audit
Deputy System Owner for ITSM components in ServiceNow Platform, ensuring the various ITSM components (e.g. Incident Management) are effectively implemented/enhanced as per the approved processes
Collaborate with the ServiceNow development team to implement the approved processes within the platform
IT Capabilities Development
Establish the IT capabilities development plan and annual IT training plan
Collaborate with HR Business Partner to enhance IT Job family and competencies, where needed
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related disciplines
Certified in TOGAF, ITIL, ISO 20000 or PMP is desired
Minimally 12 years of relevant IT experience, with a significant portion dedicated to IT strategic planning, enterprise architecture, or IT governance roles within a large and complex organization. Experience in the education sector is a plus
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing multi-year IT strategic plans and annual work plans, effectively aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals
Hands-on experience in developing IT architecture blueprint and/or leading IT Service Management initiatives
Knowledge of ServiceNow tool is a plus
Hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, and aligning IT BCP procedures with organizational BCPs
Experience in contributing to or leading IT capability development and training roadmap initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholders’ management skills
Ability to think critically and to facilitate, influence and collaborate effectively
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams
