What The Role Is

With an ageing population, we need to relook our aged care landscape to support seniors to age in the community by addressing social isolation, reducing frailty and delaying institutionalisation. The ageing strategy team at the MOH Ageing Planning Office drives efforts to define, plan and execute strategies to address these challenges.

You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What You Will Be Working On

You will lead a team in the Ministry of Health’s Ageing Planning Office to develop next-bound strategies to address the challenges and opportunities presented by Singapore's ageing population. This includes:

  1. Setting the long-term vision for Singapore’s ageing strategy;
  2. Formulating and driving action plans to enhance the care for and well-being of seniors in Singapore;
  3. Working collaboratively within MOH, across government agencies and with external stakeholders for an effective Whole-of-Ministry and Whole-Of-Government approach;
  4. Ensuring alignment with national healthcare goals and Whole-of-Government Policy Priorities.

What We Are Looking For

  1. Experience in strategy, policy development, or a related field, with a strong interest in ageing or healthcare.
  2. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive complex initiatives.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data and trends into actionable strategies.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. A deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with ageing populations, both locally and globally.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing needs.
