Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking an Applications Engineer to support semiconductor activities across the region from Singapore. You will work with customers to create recipes for process control, troubleshoot issues, install systems on-site, and train users and staff.

You will coordinate with headquarters to align customized solutions and business goals, become a subject matter expert on Onto Innovation products, and occasionally travel to support international customers from Singapore.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in science, engineering, optics, physics, or related field.
• 2–3+ years in optics, mechanical, electrical systems, or semiconductor equipment.
• Wafer fab and wafer inspection experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office tools.
• Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Self-motivated with good time management.
• Team-oriented with cross-department collaboration.
• Ability to mentor teammates.
• Knowledge of 2D pattern comparison and 3D measurement for Dragonfly/ADC DL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Semiconductor activities in the region.
• Provide high quality applications support including recipe creation for process control.
• Lead customers through troubleshooting to problem resolution.
• On-site product installations and training for customers and staff.
• Coordinate with headquarters to align customized solutions and goals.
• Create recipes for Dragonfly system.
• Customer support on site or by phone.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally for best Apps solutions.
• Become a subject matter expert on Onto Innovation products.
• Support customer applications development with setup, data inspection, and presentation of results.
• Work with customers to ensure systems are configured optimally.
• Provide training to customers and internal groups.
• Interface with tech support and HQ engineering on procedures and equipment enhancements.
• Travel may be required; based in Singapore.
