Job summary

ST Engineering invites experienced software engineers to join the Advanced Networks & Sensors team in Ang Mo Kio. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise and web applications, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions that leverage AI-assisted development to improve user experiences and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in application software development
• Strong understanding of software design principles and application architecture
• RESTful APIs and service-oriented design
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools
• Code validation practices including code reviews, static analysis
• Strong background in software testing including unit, integration, and test automation
• Experience with relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with Git-based version control
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and REST APIs
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with TDD and/or BDD practices
• Exposure to integrating third-party APIs including AI/LLM services

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise and web applications
• Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while ensuring code quality and maintainability
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices and standards
• Perform code validation activities, including peer reviews, static analysis, and automated quality checks
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and regression test suites
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and system issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, UX) to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes
• Ensure adherence to security, coding standards, and performance requirements
• Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly in AI-assisted development and automation
