Job description

We are hiring for a skilled Senior Android Engineer! This role is for a 12-month contract with our multinational client in the tech industry.

As a Senior Android Engineer, you will become a key contributor trusted with designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software systems. You’ll ensure your solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and well-tested. You’ll take full ownership of the development lifecycle—from ideation and architecture to deployment and post-launch monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-performance Android features and components using Kotlin and RxJava.
• Partner with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists to deliver compelling mobile experiences.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards.
• Identify bottlenecks, propose scalable solutions, and implement performance optimizations.
• Lead and own the development of robust, reusable Android components.
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex business and technical challenges.
• Participate in hiring activities and share knowledge through mentorship and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• With 4+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in Android development.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven experience owning and delivering end-to-end features.
• Familiarity with large-scale applications, system internals, crash analytics, CI/CD pipelines, and remote debugging tools.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proactive mindset and ownership mentality.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD best practices.
• Interest or experience in applying generative AI (GenAI) to real-world use cases and improving work efficiency.
