Position summary: This role is responsible for leading and enhancing the Global Security Operations function, with a focus on security detection and monitoring, incident response, playbook development, vulnerability management, application security, and threat management. The role will collaborate closely with other Cybersecurity functions and Global IT teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential cybersecurity risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with other Cybersecurity and IT functions to develop, maintain, and execute the overall Security Operations capability roadmap.
  • Oversee and manage the operational effectiveness and SLAs of outsourced security services.
  • Enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks across the organization.
  • Align security operations initiatives with broader organizational risk management and business objectives.
  • Integrate threat intelligence into operational workflows to proactively identify and mitigate emerging risks.
  • Drive continuous improvements in the incident response lifecycle and processes (e.g., automation and AI integration).
  • Evaluate and optimize security tools and platforms to ensure effective threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Provide guidance to IT teams and business functions on workarounds and mitigating controls when product fixes are unavailable.
  • Generate and present security reports and metrics, including potential threats and vulnerabilities, delivering timely updates to Global IT leadership on security operations and posture.
  • Serve as the key personnel for cybersecurity incident investigations, with the ability to engage during major incidents, including holidays and weekends as required.
  • Collaborate with teams across different time zones, requiring flexibility for after-office hours meetings.
  • Ready to take on additional responsibilities such as cybersecurity project implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience, including 5 years with deep domain expertise in Security Operations, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Vendor Management in global environments.
  • Strong understanding of cyber kill chain, IOCs, and attack frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, Firewalls, WAF, IPS, Antivirus, IRM, and DLP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate across teams.
