Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst, Revenue Recognition in Singapore. You will partner with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations and Pricing to ensure proper revenue recognition across complex SaaS contracts and engage with auditors for SOX and GAAP compliance.

The role requires strong ASC 606 knowledge, experience with US GAAP, and ability to work with global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. AI tools and LLMs experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree or diploma in a relevant field.
• Prefer ACA/ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Ability to work with virtual, global, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, and Legal during contract negotiations and provide suggestions and guidance to ensure proper Revenue recognition.
• Review complex revenue contracts for compliance with US GAAP and determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
• Engage with external auditors and respond to changes in audit approaches; implement global SFDC process improvements.
• Advance the use of AI tools to deliver best in class support.
• Maintain documentation for all review and compliance work completed.
• Lead training on revenue recognition rules, policies and practices within the Company, especially in Sales.
• Deliver the highest standard of departmental, cross-departmental and cross-region customer service.
• Work with the Revenue Recognition team to develop and maintain SOX Compliance.
• Revenue reporting and analysis, as needed.
• Lead and assist with other special projects, as needed.

The Experience

In this visible and exciting role, the Senior Analyst, Revenue Recognition, will partner with the Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Pricing teams, play a trusted advisor role for customer contract negotiations, and perform contract review for Revenue Recognition compliance.

The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment across many different functions within the business and the finance organization. A successful applicant will have a strong working understanding of ASC 606, with experience in application of the standard to a SaaS business model in the tech industry. Further, the candidate must excel in managing and understanding a wide range of issues and business models that could be driven by acquisitions, Revenue Recognition requirements, and strategic shifts in go-to-market strategies including the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

• Work with Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, and Legal during contract negotiations and provide suggestions and guidance in order to ensure proper Revenue recognition
• Review complex revenue contracts for compliance with US GAAP and determine the appropriate accounting treatment
• Engage with external auditors and understand/respond to the changes in the audit approach and implement global SFDC process improvements necessary to streamline the quarterly/annual reviews
• Advance the use of Agentic tools to deliver best in class support
• Maintain documentation for all review and compliance work completed
• Lead training on revenue recognition rules, policies and practices within the Company, and in particular within the Sales organization
• Deliver the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross region customer service
• Work with the Revenue Recognition team and respective business partners to develop and maintain SOX Compliance
• Revenue reporting and analysis, as needed
• Lead and assist with other special projects, as needed

• Ideally a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
• Qualified Accountant or equivalent, ACA / ACCA preferable
• Team player who is able to work with virtual, global, and cross-functional teams
• Strong ability to multi-task; able to prioritize and manage competing goals and responsibilities
• Verbal and written communication skills with ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences as well as high level executives
