Job summary

Aon Corporation in Singapore seeks a Senior Analyst to handle analytics for catastrophe modelling. You will audit data, format risk portfolios, and perform modelling analyses using Verisk, Moody’s and CoreLogic platforms. You will interpret results and support reinsurance design and placement.

You will also act as the local territory contact, building client relationships, identifying information gaps, and delivering presentations with training sessions for key Aon tools and products.

Qualifications

• Graduated in science fields (earth science, physics, mathematics) or related actuarial/finance studies.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in (re)insurance in an analytical role focusing on catastrophe modelling/management.
• Strong experience in Verisk, Moody’s and CoreLogic catastrophe modelling platforms.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience in using Microsoft SQL preferred.
• Experience in programming or scripting preferred.
• GIS experience (ACRMAP) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the corporation.

Responsibilities

• Data auditing, formatting and compilation of insurance risk portfolios for catastrophe management across various software platforms (MS Access, MS Excel, SQL).
• Catastrophe modelling analysis using internal and external models.
• Interpretation, testing and evaluation of catastrophe model results.
• Communicate catastrophe modelling results for reinsurance design, pricing and placement.
• Act as local territory contact, liaising with clients and colleagues to set project objectives and outcomes.
• Build relationships with client staff to identify information gaps and improve processes.
• Deliver presentations and run training sessions/workshops to support key Aon tools and products.

What the day will look like

• Catastrophe modelling analysis using internal and externally licensed catastrophe models.
• Catastrophe model results interpretation, testing and evaluation of models
• Application and communication of catastrophe modelling results for reinsurance design, pricing and placement
• Take on responsibility as local territory contact, liaising with clients and colleagues to establish client project objectives, outcomes, and manage these projects.
• Build and leverage relationships with relevant client staff to help identify information gaps, improve suboptimal processes and analyses
• Do presentations and conduct training sessions, workshops and related assistance to help support delivery of key Aon tools and products

Skills and expertise that will lead to success
