Job summary

Bitdeer seeks an experienced storage systems engineer to design and deploy CSI drivers for high-performance file systems. You will architect GPUDirect Storage integrations, develop NVMe caching, and optimize the storage stack for RDMA and InfiniBand interconnects.

You will mentor junior engineers and drive architecture reviews while collaborating across HPC infrastructure teams in a fast-growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in distributed storage systems and high-performance file systems.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes CSI, volume plugins, and storage operators.
• Strong hands-on Linux I/O and kernel performance tuning.
• Familiarity with RDMA/InfiniBand/RoCE and their impact on storage subsystems.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Proven track record of operating and scaling large-scale storage in prod or HPC.
• Excellent technical communication and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain CSI drivers for high-performance file systems.
• Architect GPUDirect Storage integrations to enable DMA between NVMe and GPU memory.
• Develop and manage local NVMe caching for loading model weights and datasets.
• Optimize IOPS, throughput, and latency across the containerized storage stack.
• Collaborate with GPU Systems & Fabric to optimize for RDMA and InfiniBand interconnects.
• Implement automated monitoring and alerting for storage performance.
• Define storage policies, quotas, and multi-tenancy isolation within Kubernetes.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead architecture reviews.
