Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Director, AI Engineer to lead the APAC AI Hub in Singapore. The role focuses on setting technical direction, building production-grade AI capabilities, and aligning regional work with global platforms and governance.

You will mentor engineers, drive scalable AI services, and partner with product and risk teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions across APAC. A senior, hands-on leadership position within a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Advanced degree is beneficial for senior leadership in AI engineering.
• Experience leading production-grade AI products and platforms.
• Strong understanding of AI engineering, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and MLOps.
• Extensive software and platform engineering across distributed/cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for enterprise AI products and platforms.
• Lead end-to-end development of production-grade AI solutions.
• Develop scalable services, APIs, and context pipelines for AI use cases.
• Mentor engineers and grow APAC AI engineering capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, governance, risk and regional teams.
