Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership seeks a Senior AI Architect to join a leading global financial institution and help design and deliver enterprise-scale AI solutions. You will architect end-to-end systems, translate business needs into scalable designs, and collaborate with data scientists, engineers and product teams to ensure robust, secure AI deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience across software architecture, data engineering and/or AI/ML solution design and implementation.
• 7–10 years of overall experience in a relevant technology field, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, deep learning and modern data engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, including cloud-based AI services.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and/or Scala.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, distributed systems and scalable application architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and related technologies.
• Understanding of data governance, data privacy, responsible AI and ethical AI practices.
• Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle principles and practices.
• Experience delivering technology solutions within regulated environments, such as financial services, healthcare or government, would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop end-to-end AI solutions, covering the full lifecycle from data ingestion and processing through model deployment and ongoing monitoring.
• Convert business requirements and use cases into scalable AI architectures, technical designs and implementation specifications.
• Partner with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Product Managers and business teams to design and deliver AI-driven solutions.
• Ensure AI platforms and solutions are designed for high performance, scalability, availability and reliability.
• Incorporate security, governance, compliance and responsible AI principles into the architecture and development of AI solutions.
• Provide technical architecture guidance and support throughout AI-related projects and solution implementation.
• Define, implement and continuously enhance security standards and guardrails for AI systems.
