Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Specialist in AI/ML within its Operations Intelligence function in Singapore. You will design, build, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions to optimize semiconductor supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics performance.

You will translate complex operational challenges into AI-driven solutions, enabling autonomous decision-making and intelligent automation across Global Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on data science or AI/ML project delivery end to end.
• Familiarity with SAP systems (S/4HANA, CRM, SRM), Kinaxis, and end-to-end processes across manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, quality, or engineering.
• Strong experience applying statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to real business problems.
• Proven experience deploying AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including exposure to MLOps practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment where priorities evolve and innovation is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced prediction models, including Agentic AI systems and LLMs, to drive automation and intelligent decision-making across Global Operations.
• Collaborate with leaders, program managers, and cross-functional teams to integrate AI into existing systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ML techniques, Agentic AI, and LLMs, and evaluate their applicability to business challenges.
• Translate business problems into data and AI requirements, identify data sources, and perform data modelling.
• Automate and integrate data and AI solution development and deployment; develop proofs-of-concept for AI/ML applications.
• Work with data engineers, analysts, senior management, and stakeholders to support digital transformation.
