Job summary

Seagate Singapore International Headquarters PTE. LTD. is seeking a Data Scientist or AI/ML Engineer to design, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art ML solutions.

You will focus on tracks like Scientific ML, Engineering Optimization, or Systems Architecture, collaborating with physicists and firmware engineers. Ideal candidates hold a PhD or Master’s in CS/AI/Applied Mathematics/Physics and are proficient in Python with PyTorch or TensorFlow, plus experience in C/C++ or Java.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python programming and ML/DL frameworks.
• Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning, DL, transformers, or generative AI including GANs/VAEs/diffusion models.
• Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability, statistics, optimization, and calculus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art ML solutions.
• Build models and proofs-of-concept across multiple tracks.
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate physics/engineering problems into ML solutions.
• Evaluate and optimize models for performance and reliability.
