Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a seasoned software engineer to build and operate goal-oriented AI agents that automate SRE, DevOps, and DBA workflows across its global infrastructure. You will design agent architectures with planning, safety guardrails, and human-in-the-loop escalation, while integrating with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and other platforms.

The role emphasizes strong system design, hands-on experience with agentic AI, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.
• Practcal cloud experience: AWS, GCP, or Aliyun; Kubernetes; Terraform; CI/CD.
• Strong system design skills for production-scale infra.
• Hands-on agentic AI systems using LLMs for multi-step tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design reliable agent architectures with planning, reasoning, tool use, and safety guardrails.
• Integrate agents with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, GCP, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define metrics to measure task completion, accuracy, time to resolution, and escalation.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and platform teams to identify high-value workflows.
