Job summary

Workato is seeking a senior engineer to build high-performance AI infrastructure including MCP Gateway and AI Gateway. You will design production-grade services in Go and/or Ruby, own the PostgreSQL data layer, and ensure concurrency, observability, and secure, scalable operations in a distributed system.

You will work with Kubernetes in a containerized environment, integrate with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, and drive latency- and cost-aware architectures while maintaining strong engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years senior-level experience in Go and/or Ruby.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge: indexing, transactions, optimization.
• Strong concurrency and profiling skills for production services.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Security and observability focus in distributed systems.
• Experience with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs and MCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the MCP Gateway and AI Gateway.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency network services.
• Own the data layer from the application side (PostgreSQL).
• Design for concurrency and profiling under load.
• Drive observability for AI systems with metrics and tracing.
