Duke-NUS invites applications for a senior research-oriented role at the interface of AI and pathogen genomics. You will lead applied research, design AI-enabled genomic analysis methods, and partner with COP and CBDS to translate findings into public health action.

The position requires a PhD with substantial research leadership. Collaboration with regional public health partners and academic teams will be essential to drive grant-winning projects and high-impact outputs.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or equivalent in AI, ML, computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or related field.
• Postdoc/independent research experience with leadership and grant activity expected.
• Proven track record in AI/data science applied to genomics or public health.

Aufgaben

• Lead applied research at the interface of AI, pathogen genomics and outbreak preparedness.
• Design and evaluate AI-enabled methods for pathogen genomic analysis and surveillance.
• Build collaborations with public health agencies, academic partners and industry.
• Contribute to grant proposals and externally funded programmes.
• Publish high-quality papers and technical reports; translate results to practice.
• Ensure robust, ethical, reproducible analytical workflows and responsible AI.
• Provide mentorship and capacity development for researchers and students.
• Support education and training in AI, computational genomics and outbreak analytics.
