Job summary

Surban a Jurong Private Limited seeks a software engineer to design, build, and produce AI-enabled applications for core business lines. You will own the full software lifecycle from requirements and architecture through testing, deployment, and post-launch iteration.

You will integrate LLM APIs, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation; drive CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, observability, and secure cloud deployment while collaborating with AI PMs and business teams.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or AI application development.
• Proven track record delivering production-ready software.
• Strong Python proficiency with REST APIs, cloud deployment and containerisation.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and retrieval/vector databases.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, testing, and production operations.
• Experience with agentic orchestration frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph/AutoGen is a plus.
• Frontend development experience with React and TypeScript is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end AI-powered applications, including retrieval pipelines and LLM orchestration layers.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements through testing and deployment.
• Integrate LLM APIs, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation into production apps.
• Evaluate AI models and retrieval approaches, define evaluation criteria, iterate on perf data.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, observability, and secure cloud deployment.
• Document architectural decisions and contribute reusable components to the AI platform.
• Collaborate with business teams and AI PMs in a forward-deployed model, communicating progress and risks.
