Job summary

Shopee Singapore is hiring a Security Engineer to design, build, and enhance internal security tools and platforms that integrate into CI/CD and developer workflows. You will work on AI-assisted code review, vulnerability analysis, and SAST/SCA capabilities, while contributing to secure SDLC automation and tooling.

You will mentor juniors and collaborate with security and engineering teams to improve detection accuracy, remediation, and ongoing system security across web, API, and software

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time experience in security engineering or application security.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development, code-analysis, or security tools is preferred.
• Good understanding of web, API, and code-security risks such as injection, auth flaws, SSRF, insecure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, and improvement of internal security tools and platforms (SAST, SCA, security automation).
• Develop and improve security detection rules, analysis logic, and automated workflows.
• Perform secure code reviews, vulnerability analysis, and investigate false positives to improve coverage.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to support remediation and continuous improvement of security issues.
• Mentor junior security engineers and interns.
