Job summary

Shopee in Singapore is seeking a Senior Algorithm Engineer for the Customer Service Chatbot AI Agent. You will work on AI Agent architecture, Harness and Loop Engineering to improve context understanding, planning, and execution in multilingual customer service scenarios.

The role requires a strong foundation in algorithms, ML, and transformer-based models, plus hands-on experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow and RL; you will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to push automated support

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in CS/AI required.
• 3+ years of algorithm/ML experience.
• Strong CS and math foundations.
• Experience with LLMs and AI agents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on AI Agent architecture and Harness/Loop Engineering to enhance chat capabilities.
• Design and iterate on agent architectures and tooling for memory and multi-agent coordination.
• Improve system latency and inference cost via optimization techniques.
• Develop Post-Training strategies including SFT/DPO/GRPO/PPO.
• Contribute to RL and Agentic RL research and publishing activities.
