Job summary

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) seeks an experienced Senior Professional Officer in Aerospace MRO (Smart Maintenance & Repair Systems). This fixed-term role focuses on designing and delivering lab sessions, leading applied research with industry partners, and securing research grants.

You will mentor students and manage dedicated lab facilities within SIT’s Professional Officers Division, contributing to cutting-edge aerospace education and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong track record in Aerospace MRO, aerospace systems, or related applied research/industry practice.
• At least 7 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a technical role
• Strong technical expertise in Predictive Maintenance/PHM, SHM/NDI, Digital Twins, aerospace robotics, composites, and additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and teach laboratory sessions and modules in Aerospace MRO and related areas.
• Lead or co-lead innovative applied research and industry collaboration projects.
• Secure and manage research grants to support initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor students in applied research projects and IWSP.
• Manage laboratory facilities, equipment, and resources.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety policies and best practices.
• Develop capabilities, resources, and curriculum support for Aerospace MRO.
• Collaborate with faculty and stakeholders to drive outcomes.
