Job summary

Randstad Singapore is seeking an actuarial specialist to step away from routine model execution into a high-impact technical assurance role. You will spearhead reviews of pricing and reinsurance terms, assess reserves and assumptions, and translate analyses into strategic guidance for leadership.

You will join an elite team offering autonomy and direct executive visibility, with responsibilities spanning valuation, ALM, and product development within the life insurance domain.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-actuaries.
• Strategic orientation to pivot from routine model production into high-visibility advisory work.
• Strong foundation in valuation, asset-liability management, or product development.
• Experience in life insurance pricing, reinsurance arrangements, or reinsurer client advisory.
• Near-qualified or fully qualified actuary credential (FSA, FIA, FIAA, or local equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead independent reviews of direct life pricing structures, profit testing models and reinsurance terms for commercial viability.
• Assess reserve sufficiency, fundamental assumptions, and control frameworks across life portfolios.
• Identify technical exposure areas across underwriting and product development to protect the balance sheet.
• Translate actuarial analyses into actionable strategic guidance for executives and the audit committee.
• Enhance assurance frameworks by implementing governance standards across core actuarial activities.
