Job summary

Everest Reinsurance Company (Singapore) seeks a Senior Actuarial Analyst to price reinsurance treaties across Asia Pacific, collaborate with underwriters, and calibrate models to reflect risk and market conditions.

The role requires a Fellow/Associate with 6+ years in P&C pricing, strong Excel and modelling skills, and the ability to communicate complex topics to stakeholders. You will work with a global team to ensure pricing consistency and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or relevant field.
  • Fellow or Associate Status with a recognized actuarial society.
  • At least 6+ years of P&C reinsurance pricing experience.
  • Experience in project work and tool development.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, Solvency II and capital management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Price reinsurance treaties in Asia Pacific and support Singapore branch office with underwriters.
  • Collaborate with underwriters on technical assessments for pricing decisions.
  • Produce pricing memoranda aligned with internal guidelines for stakeholders.
  • Conduct lines of business studies, profitability reviews and ad-hoc modeling.
  • Calibrate and update actuarial model assumptions to improve pricing relevance.
  • Work with global actuarial teams on projects and model development.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior colleagues on actuarial topics.
  • Collaborate with actuaries, underwriters and management for pricing consistency.
  • Support other Everest Re pricing teams as needed.

About the role:
  • Price reinsurance treaties not limited to property, casualty and specialty lines within Asia Pacific and liaise with underwriters to support Singapore branch office
  • Collaborate with underwriters on technical assessments to provide opinions on pricing outcomes and decisions
  • Produce and communicate pricing memorandum appropriately aligned with internal guidelines to relevant stakeholders
  • Conduct lines of business studies, profitability reviews and ad‑hoc modeling work relevant to business needs
  • Calibrate, review and update actuarial model assumptions and parameters to improve the relevance of pricing where necessary
  • Work closely with global actuarial teams on projects, model improvement and development related to reinsurance pricing
  • Provide guidance and training to junior colleagues on actuarial topics
  • Collaborate with other actuaries, underwriters, and management to ensure pricing consistency and adherence to best practices
  • Support other reinsurance pricing teams within Everest Re as needed
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or relevant field
  • Fellow or Associate Status with a recognized actuarial society
  • At least 6+ years of P&C reinsurance pricing experience
  • Experience in project work and tool development
  • Knowledge of IFRS, Solvency II and capital management is an advantage
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, programming skills is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in constructive conversation and convey technical subjects to wider audience
  • Flexible and responsive to dynamic business needs including tight turnaround times
  • Ability to work independently but also a good team player
  • Attention to details, proactive, exhibit sound actuarial judgement and is able to meet deadlines effectively
