About The Role
Support APAC pricing across all non-life P&C businesses. In addition, manage the data crunch end-to-end process including working closely with India third party resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Price reinsurance treaty business, providing transparent technical insight into the business
- Participate in account discussions with actuaries, underwriters and other stakeholders
- Participate in market meetings and contribute to the development of market insights
- Prioritizing and ensuring delivery of final product within the specified timeframe
- Utilization of PartnerRe actuarial models and understanding of underlying actuarial theory
- Manage the recruitment, training and task-allocation process with respect to the Asia data crunch team
- Work closely with the India third party resource to provide holistic data crunch support to the wider PartnerRe Group
Work Experience
- 3 to 5 years experience working in a non-life (re)insurance firm
- Candidates with reinsurance treaty pricing experience preferred
- Experience working across multiple lines of business preferred (e.g. Property, Liability, Marine)
Technical Skills / Competencies
- Languages: Fluent in English. Competency in an Asian language is preferred
- Programming Skills: Basic skills in Excel VBA. Experience in other programming skills is a plus. Knowledge of AI in data analysis will be looked upon favorably
- Mathematical & Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of actuarial pricing theory, including understanding the drawbacks when using different loss projection methods. Knowledge of Cat Modelling will be looked upon favorably
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding market conditions, client motivations and how different reinsurance structures work to achieve the motivations. Familiarity with treaty slip clauses will be looked upon favorably
- Problem-Solving: Identifies problems and applies critical thinking to develop solutions
- Analytical Perspective: Ability to view topics or situations from both macro and micro perspectives

Education
Tertiary education with focus on numerate discipline (e.g. Actuarial Science, Data Analyst, Econometrics).
