Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including data entry for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and expense tracking across multi-currency accounts.
- Administer staff claims and expense reimbursements promptly and accurately.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany balances.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Ledger, including Right of Use Assets, with correct depreciation schedules.
- Accurately maintain the inventory ledger.
- Ensure adherence to tax compliance requirements, including timely GST/VAT filings and coordination with tax authorities.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risks.
- Prepare journal entries, accounting schedules, financial statements, and management reports with high accuracy.
- Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses to meet stakeholder needs.
- Conduct costing analysis to support financial decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits.
- Monitor daily cash balances, bank positions, and short-term liquidity.
- Manage cash flow forecasts (short term and long term).
- Execute and record treasury transactions (e.g., bank transfer and FX deals).
- Liaise with banks for account management, funding needs, and treasury instruments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including those in China, to ensure seamless operations.
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes and contribute to team objectives.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned.
Requirements:- Minimum 3–5 years of experience with exposure to end-to-end financial processes; experience in manufacturing or recycling.
- Proficiency in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with inventory/costing processes and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Microsoft 365.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, including GST/VAT requirements.
- Familiarity with Deskara accounting system is an added advantage.
