Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including data entry for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and expense tracking across multi-currency accounts.
  • Administer staff claims and expense reimbursements promptly and accurately.
  • Reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany balances.
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Ledger, including Right of Use Assets, with correct depreciation schedules.
  • Accurately maintain the inventory ledger.
  • Ensure adherence to tax compliance requirements, including timely GST/VAT filings and coordination with tax authorities.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare journal entries, accounting schedules, financial statements, and management reports with high accuracy.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Conduct costing analysis to support financial decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits.
  • Monitor daily cash balances, bank positions, and short-term liquidity.
  • Manage cash flow forecasts (short term and long term).
  • Execute and record treasury transactions (e.g., bank transfer and FX deals).
  • Liaise with banks for account management, funding needs, and treasury instruments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including those in China, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes and contribute to team objectives.
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience with exposure to end-to-end financial processes; experience in manufacturing or recycling.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with inventory/costing processes and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Microsoft 365.
  • Strong knowledge of tax compliance, including GST/VAT requirements.
  • Familiarity with Deskara accounting system is an added advantage.
