Job summary

A leading company in the logistics sector seeks an experienced Accountant to oversee their Accounts Department. The role involves managing financial reports, ensuring statutory compliance, and coordinating with external auditors. Ideal candidates will have 4-5 years in a similar industry and proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum Accounting Graduate, preferred Post Graduation.
• Prior Experience in Shipping, Agency, Logistics Industry is a must.
• Overall Work experience of 4 - 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead the Accounts Department.
• Prepare all Management Reports - cash flow, AR & AP reports.
• Ensure Statutory Compliance including filing works.

Job description

• Independently lead the Accounts Department & Assist to local Manager.
• Maintain books of Accounts & all verification works including AP & AR Supervision works
• Be responsible to prepare all Managements Report - cash flow , AR & AP report , budget vs Actual
• Ensure Statutory Compliance including filing works with all statutory boards (CPF, IRAS – ECI , GST , IR8A , ACRA - AR filing & Others .)
• Coordinate for company’s secretarial works, Tax, notary Public , POA matters, customs, Corp pass, NTP as well.
• Prepare Principal SOA (Statement of Accounts) - Revenue & expenses statement .
• Prepare & review audit schedules & liaise with the company’s external Auditors for timely Completion of Audits /tax audit etc
• Adhoc job, as requested.

Job Requirement:

• Minimum Accounting Graduate, Preferred Post Graduation in Accounting/ Semi Qualified from a Professional Accounting Body.
• Prior Experience in Shipping, Agency, Logistics Industry is a must.
• Overall Work experience of 4 - 5 years.
• Should have good Knowledge on accounting/Taxation laws
• Should be able to independently handle full set of accounts, statutory Audits /tax audits /other compliance audit.
• Expert knowledge in MS Excel, MS word and Power Point.
• Should have worked in an ERP accounting Software with multi currencies transactions..
