Job Overview
This position will be based in HQ, playing a pivotal role in supporting the finance leadership team at HQ, in areas such as financial reporting, compliance, and group consolidation and Capex reporting to facilitate smooth reporting cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Perform timely and accurate monthly closing for Singapore entities, including joint ventures, in accordance with IFRS.
- Assist the Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) in preparing monthly group consolidation by compiling and validating financial data from group entities.
- Support reconciliation of intercompany balances and preparation of consolidation schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in group reporting.
Compliance
- Prepare and support regular statutory and regulatory compliance matters (including GST filings, corporate income tax computations and filings and transfer pricing documentation and related compliance).
- Coordinate with external service providers (e.g. auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries) and ensure timely completion of filings and audits.
Capex Reporting
- Coordinate with China and India counterparts on Capex movement and prepare monthly consolidation
- Assist Costing Manager in preparing Capex performance evaluation by compiling data from group entities
Finance Operations and Ad Hoc Tasks
- Prepare purchase requisitions, payment vouchers, and ensure completeness of documentation for approval.
- Provide assistance in finance-related projects, system/process improvements, or regional coordination efforts as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in full set of accounts, preferably in SME/MNC environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is an advantage.
- Experienced in Big 4 audit firms is highly preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Oracle, etc.).
- Fluent in English and proficient in Mandarin, including reading and speaking.
- Working knowledge of Singapore GST and corporate tax regulations.
- Familiarity with group consolidation, intercompany transactions, and JV accounting/reporting structures is a strong advantage.
