Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to ensure accounting and credit control processes comply with Accounting Standards, GAAP and JSOX. You will assist in month-end close, general ledger, cost center reporting, budgeting and intercompany reconciliations.

The role requires a degree in Accountancy, at least 5 years in a similar capacity, proficiency with SAP, and strong problem-solving skills to manage internal and external stakeholders and intercompany activities.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar capacity.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Familiar with international trade finance and payment methods.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accounting and credit control processes comply with Accounting Standards, GAAP and JSOX.
• Assist in month-end closing process, general ledger and management closing.
• Assist in cost center accounting and reporting.
• Assist in budgeting.
• Balance sheet accounts reconciliation.
• Monthly intercompany reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset register and all fixed asset related entries.
• Coordinate and conduct yearly fixed asset check.
• Preparation of intercompany audit confirmation.
• Provide support for internal and external audit, including JSOX.
• Prepare GST filing, corporate tax computation, transfer pricing matters.
• Prepare management reports for review.
• Filing of surveys required by statutory boards.
• Perform financial evaluation of customers, annual review of existing customers, follow up on collection status with Sales, weekly aging review.
• Release of blocked sales orders.
• Check on terms and conditions of Documentary Credit so as to create Financial Documents correctly.
• Evaluate and monitor risks exposure to countries and banks.
• Assist in input of Accounts Payable invoices.
• Involve in ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned
