We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior accountant to join the infrastructure finance section, to contribute and support financial analysis, projections and costing of significant infrastructure projects and investments. Required to play a significant role in business partnering with other stakeholders and cross functional teams in SGH during the course of work. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing financial and providing financial guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.
This candidate would support SingHealth’s overall assessment on financial sustainability of new infrastructure development projects and would work closely with the infrastructure offices and finance teams within SingHealth in meeting this objective. The candidate should possess presentation skillset and the ability to design aesthetically pleasing and informative presentations to apprise Senior Management of financial sustainability of new infrastructure developments and external funding status for such projects.
Through close collaboration with other institutions, business units and departments within SingHealth, Strategic Finance would build up and continuously refine financial models to determine long-term financial sustainability of major developments. Proactiveness and inquisitiveness are desired qualities of the candidate to develop robust and flexible financial models to professionally assess major developments.
As a member of the Finance team, the candidate will support the team in month-end closing, financial reporting, and project funding management. It is expected of the candidate to be meticulous and diligent to facilitate smooth closing processes for both financial and funding reporting. Being in the infrastructure section, this candidate should have a good grasp of fixed asset accounting and with understanding of procurement and asset capitalization rules and guidelines.
As the candidate grows in the role, he/she will contribute in the discovery process to develop, implement and maintain solutions or initiatives to enhance and optimize existing operational workflow, in tandem with SGH’s drive towards transformative and automated processes. The candidate would mature and be capable to provide assessment based on data analytics and information to make suitable recommendations to address present workflow gaps, with continuous efforts for improvement.
The incumbent will be providing technical support for financial systems and collaborating with IT professionals to implement new technologies and will be responsible for developing financial models to support decision making and strategic planning.
