Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA/ACCA) preferred.
• 5–8 years of accounting and tax experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end closing, GL management, and statutory compliance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally SAP, and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items promptly.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial schedules, management reports, and supporting documentation for financial reporting.
• Ensure timely preparation and compliance with tax filing requirements, including Corporate Income Tax and GST.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for claims under EDB grants, including schedules, cost support, reconciliations and declarations.
• Coordinate and manage EDB grant audits, including collection, validation and timely submission of evidence.
• Manage fixed asset accounting including identification, recording, capitalization and disposal.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
• Support implementation and enhancement of accounting systems including SAP and digitization initiatives.
