A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Finance Specialist to support financial reporting under US GAAP and local GAAPs for a 9-month contract. The successful candidate will manage month-end activities, ensure tax compliance across APAC, and collaborate with stakeholders for strong financial governance. This role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance and 5-8 years of experience in large organizations.

Job Title: Finance Specialist (US GAAP & APAC Regional Experience)

Duration: 9 months contract, extendable

Qualifications: Minimum degree with professional certificates in Accounting or Finance

Key Skills: Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other APAC countries' GAAPs is essential

Salary: Up to $6,500

Role Overview

As part of the Finance team, you will support financial reporting under US GAAP and local GAAPs, collaborating with stakeholders across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage month-end closing activities ensuring accuracy under US GAAP
  2. Ensure timely tax compliance (VAT/GST/SST/JCT/WHT/corporate tax) across APAC regions
  3. Prepare and review tax filings; serve as a key contact for tax-related queries
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to uphold strong financial governance
  5. Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls
  6. Participate in ERP localization projects (S4HANA) and other finance initiatives
  7. Contribute as a team player to problem-solving and shared outcomes
Job Requirements
  1. Degree with professional certificates in Accounting/Finance
  2. 5-8 years of experience in full set accounting and financial reporting within large organizations with regional exposure
  3. Experience with US GAAP, IFRS, and regional GAAPs is essential
  4. Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  5. Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
