Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You\'ll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. You\'ll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

Additional job description

In this role, you will support the APAC Devices and Services Controllership team in the oversight and management of financial processes for the product area. As a key player on the APAC Business Controllership team, you will partner closely with cross-functional and cross-finance stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment, supporting controls and risk management practices. You will utilize accounting principles and the full accounting process end-to-end. You will use business acumen and risk management creativity to craft and implement controls, measuring and mitigating risk.

Responsibilities
  • Own and be accountable for accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness, and efficiency of processes related to controllership for Devices and Services.
  • Collaborate with global business finance/controllership teams to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Ensure cross-finance readiness for Devices and Services product initiatives in APAC, providing jurisdictional expertise and partnering with key stakeholders for successful implementation and launch for various Pixel markets.
  • Lead cross-functional business and governance projects. Define, implement, and maintain processes and procedures.
  • Represent the APAC region within the global Devices and Services risk compliance team and drive global initiatives within the region.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or other professional accounting accreditation.
  • 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  • Experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience implementing projects, managing programs, and designing and implementing processes/controls.
  • Experience working cross-functionally among teams and business groups.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with vendors and international teams.
  • Excellent business judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate with executive management.
