Your Opportunity:

The Senior Accountant (Accounting and Treasury) will be responsible for key accounting functions related to the general ledger, fixed assets, and treasury operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as a passion for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform the monthly and yearly financial closing processes including preparation of journal entries and intercompany reconciliations
  • Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal while ensuring the accurate maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Manage the complete lease accounting cycle including the maintenance of leases in Lease Controller
  • Assist with periodic reporting and variance analysis to Head Office
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness with timely follow-ups where necessary
  • Prepare GST returns and other statutory reporting including statistical submissions to government bodies
  • Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, Group/Entity Policies and SOX including timely and accurate preparation of SOX compliance documents
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Propose, develop and implement automation initiatives and improvements to systems and processes
  • Prepare Currency Exposure Reports
  • Undertake quarterly reporting to the ultimate parent entity on treasury matters
  • Manage currency rate updates for the APAC region
  • Assist with Cashflow forecasting for the APAC region
  • Assist with the administration of bank accounts and corporate credit cards across the APAC region
  • Assist with any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or the Director of Accounting and Shared Services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • CA or progress towards CA certification preferred
  • 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Proficiency in SAP is an advantage
  • Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups)
