A leading company in financial management is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee a comprehensive range of accounting activities in Brunei. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with local laws while managing financial operations, preparing reports, and driving process improvements. This role demands a minimum of five years’ experience and strong ERP system knowledge to enhance governance and risk management.
To conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
Report directly to Group Finance Manager and work closely with other division heads in finance department on accounts related issues
Ensure compliance with local and group financial regulations, local tax laws, and internal policies to minimize risks and enhance governance.
Manage financial function, including preparation of weekly cash flow payment, yearly cashflow forecast, annual budget from HOD, management reports and analysis and submitting to the Finance Manager
Oversee the accounting operations, including AP, AR, petty cash and payment to ensure smooth financial transactions and daily operational efficiency. (This included reviewing work of the Junior accountant such as JV, etc & payable assistant such as payments, etc)
Liaise with internal & external auditors and lead the team to perform the auditing activities, included ensure the management account with the schedule is ready for auditing.
Liaise with tax agent for corporate tax filing
Reconciliation and tally of inter-companies’ transactions and balances by monthly which include keep track of the Interco back charge expenses and billing checking.
Submit the monthly financial report included P&L schedule and Balance sheet schedule
Assist to provide financial data requested by Contract Manager, other HOD, client or government bodies.
Preparation of monthly/quarterly/yearly census reports on financial data as requested by Client and relevant Government bodies.
Approved the medical claim submit by employee after verified by finance department all-rounded accounting function.
Drive continuous process improvement, SOP, and ad-hoc projects such as new system implementation.
Perform ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting / ACCA or equivalent (ACCA is a plus)
Knowledge in full set of accountancy is a must.
Meticulous, detail-oriented, and accurate in financial reporting.
Efficient and organized, with strong time management skills.
Good IT Skill: Report & MS Excel
Experienced in auditing firm is preferable
Ability to work under pressure and fast-paced environment for data migration for 3-6 months
Drive accuracy and consistency in financial reporting
Requests analysis, and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support data-driven decision-making.
Have a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in an all-rounded accounting function.
Knowledge and experience in ERP (SAP) system. Understanding the system’s workflow of accounting operation is a must.
Experience in Oracle is a plus!
