Job description

Responsibilities

• Handle the preparation of statutory and management reporting.

• Prepare and analyze financial data for management review and audit purposes.

• Support month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

• Coordinate annual financial audits, ensuring timely submission.

• Manage tax filling for corporate tax and GST.

• Ensure compliance with FRS, tax regulations and internal accounting policies.

• Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

• Assist in developing and implementing financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and enhance accuracy.

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over the accounting and reporting process.

• Liaise with external regulatory authorities when required.

Requirements

• At least a bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance or a related field.

• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.

• At least 4-5 years of prior external audit experience is a must.

• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirements.

• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• High level of accuracy and meticulousness in all aspects of financial operation.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in system implementation or strong knowledge in IT infrastructure/system process would be a plus.

• Experience in the commodity trading industry is an added advantage.
