Join Our Global Finance Team: Senior Accountant Role based in Singapore.

About the Role

As part of our continued growth in Asia, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Singapore.

This position is part of our financial services team that supports COVA’s entities across Southeast Asia and Australia. The role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of payroll operations across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts for company entities, including corporate and regional subsidiaries.

· Consolidate monthly group financials in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards.

· Prepare annual statutory financial statements and support year-end audit processes.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management

· Collaborate with department heads to develop the annual budget and support quarterly rolling forecasts.

· Assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts and provide insights to support liquidity planning.

3. General Ledger & Financial Controls

· Oversee accurate and timely general ledger maintenance for all businesses.

· Perform account reconciliations, resolve variances, and ensure strong data integrity and compliance with internal controls.

· Monitor and manage WIP (Work in Progress) accounts and related financial tracking.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight

· Supervise the AP and AR functions, including review and approval of supplier payment runs.

· Manage intercompany billing processes across the company, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

· Handle trade finance documentation and liaise with banking partners for submission and follow-up.

5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

· Liaise with external tax consultants on international tax matters, including Cambodian, Philippines and Vietnamese tax compliance.

· Prepare annual income tax schedules and support tax provision accounting across entities.

· Review indirect tax filings such as GST (or VAT), FBT, and payroll tax, and liaise with IRAS and other regulatory bodies as required.

6. Corporate Governance & Secretarial Support

· Calculate, process, and document shareholder dividend payments.

· Prepare accurate dividend statements and ensure compliance with corporate regulations.

· Oversee accounting system operations and ensure seamless data integration between platforms.

· Reconcile project costs and revenue to the general ledger, ensuring accurate project financial reporting.

· Support system upgrades or enhancements as required.

8. Regional Collaboration & Mobility

· Coordinate with finance teams across Asia and Australia for group-level reporting and compliance.

· Occasional travel may be required to support cross-border operations or audits.

Qualifications:

· A relevant degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance (CA).

· Certified CA or membership of ISCA.

· Minimum of 5 years+ experience in a related financial role.

· A strong understanding of transfer pricing and related recharges across related entities

· A strong understanding and experience with Tax lodgements across multiple jurisdictions.

· Proficiency in payroll software, MS Office, and high-level skills in Excel.

· Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

· Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Proficiency in both verbal and written English.
