Job description

We are looking for a strategic, experienced, and hands-on Senior Account Manager to lead our finance function and partner with leadership to drive business performance.

The Senior Account Manager will oversee the entire finance and accounting function and play a key leadership role in shaping the company’s financial strategy. This includes managing statutory and tax compliance, cash flow, payroll, reporting, and analysis, as well as mentoring the finance team and collaborating cross-functionally to align with business objectives.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead the full spectrum of finance operations: accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
  • Oversee and manage daily cash flow and funding requirements, including experience in Trade Finance (e.g., Bank Guarantees etc).
  • Liaise with financial institutions to arrange and draw down bank facilities or borrow funds as needed to support business operations.
  • Optimize working capital and manage treasury operations to ensure financial stability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST filings in accordance with IRAS requirements.
  • Monitor corporate tax submissions and handle queries from regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor billing, collections, and payment cycles. Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and credit management practices.
  • Oversee monthly payroll processing, including CPF, SDL, and all related statutory contributions.
  • Generate accurate payslips and ensure timely distribution to employees via system.
  • Handle annual IR8A submissions via AIS.
  • Lead and mentor a small finance/accounts team (approx. 1-2 team members).
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide training support to junior staff.
  • Work with Operations, HR, and Sales to support business growth and streamline financial processes.
  • Contribute financial insights to strategic initiatives and commercial projects.

Job Requirement:

  • Prior experience in construction will be an advantage
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience, with minimum 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore tax and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel proficiency
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
