A leading organization in Singapore is looking for a strategic government sales leader who will define and execute sales strategies across the public sector. The successful candidate will build and manage a high-performing sales team, ensure compliance with procurement regulations, and develop key relationships with government and public sector stakeholders. This pivotal role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of government sales processes, and a proven track record in achieving revenue targets.
Define and execute the overall government sales strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Lead the government sales team across regions to achieve annual revenue and growth targets.
Identify market trends and opportunities within the government/public sector ecosystem.
Develop relationships with key decision-makers across central and state government bodies, PSUs, ministries, and defense institutions.
Lead the preparation and submission of government tenders, RFPs, and empanelment processes.
Track and pursue new project opportunities under government schemes, grants, and initiatives (e.g., Digital India, Smart Cities, Make in India).
Represent the organization at government forums, industry conferences, and vendor registration meetings.
Liaise with policy-makers, consultants, nodal agencies, and system integrators (SIs).
Ensure all government sales processes comply with procurement regulations (GFR, GEM, CVC guidelines, etc.).
Supervise audit documentation, contract compliance, and post-award execution with legal and finance teams.
Build and manage a high-performing team of regional government sales managers.
Provide mentorship, training, and guidance on government procurement processes and documentation.
Monitor KPIs, forecasts, and pipeline development using CRM tools.
Coordinate with product, finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with government project requirements.
Collaborate with marketing to develop sector-specific collateral and proposals.
