A financial services firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accounting Executive to maintain financial records and ensure compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in accounting, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Excel. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, handling audits, and performing reconciliations. This role requires organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintaining the general ledger, including recording transactions, preparing journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications;
Ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing schedules and financial reporting packages;
Performing various reconciliations, such as bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and reconciliations of accounts receivable and payable;
Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements;
Assisting with both internal and external audits, as well as preparing tax submissions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations;
Handling intercompany billing, reconciliation, and settlement, potentially across multiple entities or regions;
Ensuring adherence to SFRS and other relevant accounting standards and regulations; and
Performing other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and other ad-hoc tasks.
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
Job Requirement:
Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
At least 3 years of work experience in Finance & Accounting
Intermediate to Advance user in Excel
Organised, detailed and deadline oriented
Confident to liaise with Partners &/or Vendors and Sales team
A team player yet able to work well independently in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and always seeking for challenges
