Job summary

We Are Social Singapore is seeking a (Senior) Account Director to lead client accounts and teams, driving the successful planning and delivery of services across one or more core service areas.

As a Senior Account Director, you will proactively lead internal teams and clients, delivering the best the agency has to offer. You’ll grow existing business, deepen client relationships, and help bring new business while tracking industry trends and sharing insights with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of social media operations, content planning, data analytics and production.
• Excellent strategic thinking and data-led proposals.
• Proven track record of driving organic client growth.
• Experience with regional and/or global clients.
• Confident communication with senior clients.
• Ability to guide and develop a team while managing multiple projects.

About the role

We're looking for a (Senior) Account Director to lead client accounts and teams, driving the successful planning and delivery of services across one or more of our core service areas.

As a (Senior) Account Director, you'll proactively lead and manage both your internal teams and your clients, delivering the best that We Are Social has to offer. Alongside the Management Team, you'll be responsible for growing existing business, deepening client relationships, demonstrating genuine thought leadership, and helping bring new business into the agency.

You'll also keep a finger on the pulse of the industry — tracking emerging trends and creative practices, sharing what you learn with your team and the wider agency, and keeping clients informed and engaged on what matters.

Some of the key duties will include:

• Own account leadership for assigned key clients, building enduring senior-level relationships founded on trust, credibility, and expertise — while identifying and developing new and organic business opportunities.
• Shape and drive the vision, direction, and activity for each account, grounded in a rigorous understanding of your clients' business dynamics, strategies, and drivers.
• Lead the operations and implementation of always-on social media accounts and social-first (not social-only) integrated marketing campaigns at global and regional levels.
• Set clear, actionable communications direction for agency departments, translating client briefs into direction that spans multiple projects and accounts.
• Own timelines and milestones — presentations, approvals, production, and media implementation — ensuring on-time delivery.
• Manage the financial health of assigned accounts, with detail-oriented adherence to job costing, campaign budgets, and cost controls.
• Inspire, coach, and grow the account management team.
• Build strong cross-departmental relationships that keep the agency working well together.
• Champion the agency's vision and mission.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 8 years' of relevant experience in a similar industry.
• Experienced in social media operations, always-on social, and social-led campaigns, with strong knowledge of social media operations, content planning, data analytics/reporting and production.
• Strong strategic thinking, with a deep understanding of data analytics and the ability to develop data-led proposals and solutions.
• Astute business sense, with a proven track record of driving and building organic client growth.
• Experience working with regional and/or global clients.
• Gravitas to hold conversations confidently with senior clients.
• Patience and efficiency in guiding and developing a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate results clearly to management in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Savvy with AI tools and applications.
• Fluent in agency finance operations.
