Job summary

Applied Materials in Singapore seeks an experienced engineer to develop and implement start-up methods for semiconductor equipment. You will lead field start-up procedures and ensure BoM accuracy across multiple sources while driving automation to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work across time zones with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working with semiconductor equipment.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for start-up during semiconductor equipment assembly.
• Lead development of field start-up procedures (iOMS) for Tier 0 & Tier 1 operations to improve efficiency.
• Allocate tasks to illustrators and oversee progress to ensure timely OMS & DOC deliverables.
• Manage BoM integrity across SHPK, MERG, ship-along, SRD and other sources, ensuring accuracy.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce production and delivery cycle times.
• Review field NCs, analyze root causes, and coordinate action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality, BoM optimization, and cost reduction.
