A leading company in the semiconductor industry is looking for a Technical Support Engineer fluent in Japanese to communicate effectively with Japan HQ and support site operations. Job Description
FLUENT IN JAPANESE (written and spoken) is required as the role requires communicating with Japan HQ, Japanese clients and counterparts.
Provide technical support to site managers and team members regarding scrubber-related issues.
Escalate complex technical problems or questions to the Japan team for resolution and relay the feedback to the site.
Conduct site visits for preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), troubleshooting, or other as-needed tasks like customer meetings.
Familiarity with CMS/SCADA systems to support site managers or independently complete tasks, including coordination with third-party vendors.
Basic proficiency in CX-programmer for downloading, uploading, and verifying PLC programs.
Basic proficiency in GP-Pro EX for downloading, uploading, and verifying touch panel programs.
Basic understanding of Gas DRE testing, assisting site managers with its completion (e.g., tool procurement, instrument management, vendor communication).
Manage claim reports from site managers.
Follow up on claim cases, facilitating communication between site managers and the Technical Support (TS) Department, gathering site information, and addressing TS Department inquiries.
Maintain records of claim parts shipments.
Assist site managers in verifying parts codes with Japan.
Generate DRE reports, including DRE rate calculations.
Address risk assessment and safety-related matters.
Submit daily and weekly reports.
Perform document and email translation.
Provide interpretation for meetings, training, and other company activities.
Handle other ad-hoc assignments.
Requirements
Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken) is required as the role requires communicating with Japan HQ, Japanese clients and counterparts.
Minimum Diploma in Engineering.
Strong ability to resolve technical issues and capable of proposing and negotiating service contracts with customers.
Experience in Semiconductor Fab and Service Audit is a plus.
Good understanding of semiconductor facilities & processes is a plus.
Willingness to travel daily to various sites.
Self-driven, energetic, resourceful, and strong leadership skills.
Meticulous and timely with documentation.
Ability to project a strong, positive image of oneself and the company.
Team player with good communication skills.
Responsible, independent, with excellent customer service skills.
