Responsibilities:

• Interpret customer requirements and convert them into detailed mechanical design specifications.
• Conceptualize and validate design solutions through force analysis, thermal and vibration simulations, and module lifetime assessments.
• Evaluate and select optimal design options, balancing performance, cost-efficiency, manufacturability, and long-term reliability.
• Conduct material selection to ensure mechanical durability and compatibility with semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Design high-precision tooling and fixtures to support advanced semiconductor packaging processes.
• Create 3D engineering models and conduct structural analyses to verify design integrity.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams to ensure effective design integration and adherence to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing design quality, performance, and development efficiency.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards as defined by Singapore’s regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in related field
• Experience in mechanical design especially in semiconductor industry
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Solid Edge and Pro-E
