Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to build, repair and test multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment. You will perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs, and document progress with test fixtures and measurement equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years in semiconductor or display work, with the ability to follow SOPs.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma required.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow standard operation procedures (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Use work orders to build, repair and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies and components.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive parts, perform audits, inspect parts for defects, troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Use test fixtures, measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to test assemblies and components.
• Complete required job documentation; perform computer programming, repairs or software installs if needed.
