Job summary

ST Semiconductor Testing Pte. Ltd. is hiring a software engineer to develop and maintain control software for industrial machines using C#/.NET and C++.

You will integrate motion control, host communication, and vision systems while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support machine bring‑up, debugging, and UI localization. Key qualifications include 2+ years in industrial software, strong C# and C++ skills, SECS/GEM familiarity, and experience with EtherCAT/TwinCAT.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C# (.NET) and C++, with a focus on C#.
• Hands‑on experience with industrial machines or automation equipment.
• Ability to work on production floor and troubleshoot hardware‑software integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain handler control software in C# & C++, including machine sequences and GUI.
• Contribute to a common software platform across multiple machines.
• Integrate motion control using EtherCAT/TwinCAT for precise movement.
• Implement host communication via SECS/GEM for data exchange.
• Integrate vision systems and APIs from vendors.
• Collaborate with engineers to support bring‑up, debugging, and buy‑off.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in reviews and releases.
• Support multi‑language UIs including English and Chinese.
