Job Description

The Security Operations Manager (SOM) is responsible for managing and developing the on-site security team. The SOM will lead the security team through daily operations and incident escalations. The SOM partners with and supports site-based global security leadership to ensure all client security needs are addressed.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the site security operations team, ensuring adherence to all global security policies, procedures, and relevant documentation.
  2. Lead vendor security team responses during crisis management events on site.
  3. Ensure all vendor security staff are trained and knowledgeable to the required standards when on duty.
  4. Provide the customer with reports, briefings, and other requested information regularly or as needed.
  5. Ensure the security vendor team has the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties effectively.
  6. Implement and maintain robust post and shift handover procedures.
  7. Comply with standardized guarding models on site.
  8. Implement and document an effective communication plan across all levels of the security team.
  9. Conduct supervisory visits to assigned posts daily and document these visits accordingly.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards among all security vendor staff in accordance with relevant legislation.
  11. Manage and direct an effective Security Operations Center (SOC) team on site.
  12. Interview, select, and train new SOC employees; regularly assess the proficiency and effectiveness of the SOC team.
