Unknown Client, a leading financial services organisation, is appointing a Security Operations Lead in Singapore. The role offers a chance to shape the security operations capability within a lean team, reporting to the Head of Cybersecurity, while remaining hands-on as a working lead.

The candidate will oversee monitoring, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security posture reporting, while managing an outsourced SOC and developing internal analysts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security operations, including leadership in a regulated environment.
• Proactive, self-directed mindset with ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication, balancing security with business impact.
• Experience building security ops capabilities, managing external providers, and influencing remediation.
• Hands-on grounding in the Microsoft security ecosystem: Sentinel, Defender XDR, Entra ID and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the Security Operations pillar, with hands-on working leadership.
• Oversee monitoring and detection, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security posture reporting.
• Manage an outsourced SOC and develop internal analysts.
• Provide operational and technical support during major incidents with incident response teams.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, compliance and senior stakeholders to drive security outcomes.
