Description:
The Security Manager oversees security operations in line with company policies and local regulations. Key responsibilities include managing security strategies, risk assessments, crisis response, and business continuity. The role also serves as a liaison with internal teams, authorities, and external partners to ensure comprehensive security and compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Regional Security Oversight
- Lead and manage security operations across SEA.
- Develop and implement security strategies tailored to regional and local risks.
- Conduct regular site-specific risk assessments and audits.
- Ensure emergency and crisis response protocols are established, tested, and operational.
- Maintain 24/7 availability for security emergencies or crisis events.
2. Security Intelligence & Compliance
- Monitor emerging threats, geopolitical developments, and regulatory updates.
- Provide risk intelligence to leadership and recommend proactive security adjustments.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with regional laws and internal policies.
3. Strategic Security Implementation
- Oversee and ensure compliance in the implementation of security systems and protocols.
- Design and coordinate security measures for new office/site openings and company events.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to implement and maintain electronic security systems.
- Manage travel security programs and ensure safe employee mobility.
4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Lead contract negotiations and budget management for all regional security vendors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external security-related matters.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments (HR, Legal, Operations) and external agencies (police, embassies, emergency services).
5. Security Alliances & Collaboration
- Develop strong relationships with local law enforcement, regional security networks, and crisis management partners.
- Maintain high situational awareness and ensure effective coordination during regional incidents or emergencies.
6. Investigations & Incident Response
- Lead investigations into security incidents and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation and communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously improve incident response protocols based on post-incident reviews.
7. Security Awareness & Training
- Foster a culture of security awareness and preparedness across all levels of the organization.
- Conduct regular training, briefings, and drills on emergency response, travel safety, and threat recognition.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Significant experience in security management, preferably in a regional or multi-country capacity.
- Proven success in developing and executing security strategies and crisis management plans.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to perform detailed risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Experience in vendor management and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
